Fox's incredible shrinking reputation

Fox News has revealed itself enormously less sly than its namesake animal.

Sydney Powell-fueled allegations about voter fraud resulting from a world-class-wacko memo written by a person of clearly questionable reliability -- who believes she was internally decapitated as a youth, was told by the wind that she was a ghost, and can time-travel in a semi-conscious state -- were embraced by on-air talking heads at Fox who fully realized, off-air, the story was fabricated nonsense.

Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic were libeled repeatedly by the too-smart-by-half crowd, and one result may be that the suits filed against Fox reduce both its ability and desire to seduce a gullible fan base with mis- and disinformation.

Sacrificing truth to profit, Fox abetted the insurrection against our democracy, dividing the country repeatedly through falsehoods in service of income. That it egregiously harmed this country was of lesser importance.

John Boehner famously described Ted Cruz as "Lucifer in the flesh." I assume he has never met Rupert Murdoch.

Nota bene: there are now 787 million reasons to distrust Fox News, courtesy of Dominion's court victory. Smartmatic's suit pends.
